  10. A PowerBook G3 Series or iMac computer. NOTE:  This updater should
  11. only be used on modems purchased in: The Americas (North, Central,
  12. and South), Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.

  14. Description:
  15. If your modem supports only the K56flex protocol (shipping in the
  16. first PowerBook G3 Series computers) or if you are experiencing
  17. unreliable connections on your V.90 internal modem, Apple recommends
  18. that you upgrade the modem firmware. The Apple Modem Updater installs
  19. the latest Rockwell firmware, based on version 2.2.  For additional
  20. information, please see the Read Me included with this software.

  22. Instructions:
  23. This software consists of a self-mounting Disk Copy compressed image
  24. (.smi) file. Download this software to your hard drive and then
  25. double-click it to use it. You do not need Disk Copy to access .smi
  26. files.
